Megurine Luka is a Vocaloid voice-acted by Yu Asakawa. She was released on the 30th of January 2009 by Crypton Future Media, Inc. She is 20 years-old. She was the first Vocaloid to be developed for both English and Japanese use. Luka was the twelfth Vocaloid released, and was released for the VOCALOID2 software, than rereleased in 2015 for VOCALOID4. She has the number '03' pictured on her arm as she is a part of to the CV series (Character Vocaloid series). These numbers are also present on Miku (01), and on Rin and Len (02). There was originally going to be a '04' but he was cancelled due to a lack of sales of other male Vocaloids (Looking at you KAITO) and the difficulty in finding voice-actors in some cases.
